Networking
HHIC is an independent, fair broker of data. With that role comes the ability to convene stakeholders to address data-driven issues. The benefits of our role as convener include:
• HHIC members have the opportunity to network with peers and leverage the expertise of many to enhance professional performance.
• HHIC members collaborate in the review and analysis of data, creating shared understanding and increased focus on issues. This increased focus is more likely to result in action.
• As a member-driven organization, HHIC focuses its attention on the data, the stakeholders, and the processes needed to address the issues most impacting its members. The result is data that supports heightened awareness and change.
Over the years, we have initiated, led and/or coordinated a variety of efforts related to healthcare data including the HIPAA Readiness Collaborative and various study groups to examine topics ranging from the impact of waitlisted patients on the healthcare delivery system in Hawaii to the cost of high risk births in Hawaii.
