membership Information
HHIC is a private, not-for-profit corporation established in 1994 by the state’s major private health care organizations. Our mission is to collect, analyze, and disseminate statewide health information in support of efforts to continuously improve the quality and cost-efficiency of health care services provided to the people of Hawai‘i. As an independent organization, HHIC brings both objectivity and the required expertise to enable health care facilities, health plans, public and private organizations, and communities to make the most of the data available, both locally and nationally.
We believe diverse member involvement is important to our success. As an HHIC member, individuals and organizations will benefit through the exposure to other members. Only members can subscribe to HHIC products, programs, and services.
HHIC offers membership in the following categories: • Data Provider Members (to HHIC databases) o Hospitals/Hospital Systems
o Long Term Care Facilities (facility-based) o Other Healthcare Data Providers

o Associations o Consultant o Vendor o Individual Member Benefits
• Networking and project participation with peers, potential business clients, and partners • Complimentary or reduced admission to educational events and conferences • Online listing of business (See “Our Members”) • Access to HHIC products, programs, and services • Data Provider Members establish guidelines for release of data to other users and have voting membership on key committees including the Privacy Board and Board of Directors. |
