financial data
The Hawai'i Databank Program is part of a national effort utilizing a web-based data collection, query and reporting tool called Databank to produce timely & accurate reports based on income statement, balance sheet, and patient utilization data. Databank was originally established in 1985 by the Colorado Health & Hospital Association (CHA) to collect financial and utilization data from hospitals throughout the state in a uniform manner. Since then the American Hospital Association has partnered with CHA to assist in expanding Databank nationwide. To date, Databank has been successfully implemented in 30 states.
The ultimate goal of the Hawai'i Databank Program is to provide hospitals with powerful reporting, planning, and benchmarking decision support tools and to supply the HAH with timely financial data to use in advocating on behalf of Hawai'i’s hospitals.
